Pull the head out from between the wings. The fold on the bottom will bulge out. Pull it out half way.

Flatten the bulge, securing the head and next in place.

The basic form of the crane is complete, now we extract the head and tail.

You should have an upside down triangle. Crease well, and turn upside down.

Turn the model over, and valley fold again.

Flatten and crease the fold well.

Valley fold the top flap in half, forming a triangle.

With your thumb on top, flatten the model.

Alternately, lift pinch the top two pages between your pointer finger and thumb, and turn your wrist 90 degrees.

Flip a flap of the model, like turning a page of a book. Turn over, and repeat in the same direction.
